Hello! My name is Amanda McElfresh and this will be my third year at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. I am from Scottsdale, Arizona where I grew up, went to college, and taught for four years. At my previous school, I taught second grade and created and directed two after school educational programs.
I am so excited to be starting another fabulous year at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School! My favorite part about teaching second grade at OLMCS is preparing students for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion.
I am a graduate of Arizona State University, where I received my degree in Elementary Education. I hold my teaching credentials in the states of Arizona and California. My hobbies include spending time with my family, staying active through fitness and yoga, as well as traveling whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I am thrilled to be starting another year in second grade. In our classroom, students will have many opportunities to develop their ways of thinking and to take big steps down their paths with God. We will be learning so many fun and new things this year!
